A Walk in the Woods at Nolde Forest in May

up on the walk were some May Apples (Podophyllum peltatum).
With their leaves held horizontally, they appeared to make a second
story above the forest floor. The large, pure white dangling flowers
looked to me like something out of a fairy tale.
