Plant Pioneers
Great gardeners are adventurous gardeners…and the perfect candidates to participate in our Plant Pioneers program! Each year, Sugarbush Nursery will trial a new, underused, or long-forgotten variety of perennial via volunteer gardeners who sign up to be Plant Pioneers. Plant Pioneers will receive free plants of the trial variety, plant them in their home gardens, and report back on their successes or failures at the end of the season. Did they find a real gem, a plant worthy of greater promotion? A real stinker that everyone should avoid? The plants are theirs to keep (or pull out, as the case may be!) Ask us about becoming a Plant Pioneer for 2008!
